Will members of the family be permitted to use the membership privileges?

Yes. The Point Lake and Golf Club is a family-oriented club. A membership allows the member and immediate family to use Club facilities in accordance with the applicable category of membership. Immediate family includes the spouse of the member and their unmarried children who are under the age of 23 and who are living in the member’s home or are attending school on a full-time basis.

Are guests permitted to use the Club facilities?

Yes. It is the intention of the Club to accommodate guests without inconvenience to the members in accordance with the Club rules and regulations. Sponsoring members are responsible for all fees and charges incurred by their guests.

How many memberships are available?

In order to ensure continued enjoyment of the Club facilities, the maximum number of golf membership is limited to 500. Although there is no limit on the other membership types, the combined total number of all membership classifications is limited to 1,200.

When should purchasers of property in The Point apply for membership privileges?

Initial retail purchasers of previously unsold residences or homesites at The Point and other eligible communities may apply for an available golf, sports or swim/tennis membership until the closing of the purchase. The number of memberships available in a particular category of membership is limited and will be available to initial retail purchasers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Upon closing, the purchaser automatically becomes a community member at the Club without payment of any membership contribution or membership fee. As a community member, the purchaser pays dues and other use fees to the Club and is not permitted to resign the community membership. Dues and other fees must be paid until the closing of the sale of the residence or homesite in The Point to another purchaser who approved for membership.

What happens if an initial purchaser in The Point does not apply for membership during the reservation period?

Initial retail purchasers who do not acquire a membership during the reservation period and the subsequent purchasers of homes and homesites may acquire a membership only if one is available and not reserved for sale to other select invitees of the Club. If an initial retail purchaser of a residence or homesite does not acquire an equity membership prior to closing, it is highly unlikely that a membership will be available at a later date. After closing of the purchase agreement, there is no guarantee or assurance that an equity membership will ever subsequently be available, and neither the initial purchaser nor any subsequent purchaser will have any continuing opportunity to obtain an equity membership.

Are equity memberships transferable?

Club members may not transfer or otherwise assign their membership privileges except to the Club.
